New Project - sorta....

Okay, so in knitting news, I am working on *drumroll* another scarf! *looks around at disappointed faces* Yeah, I know. I just got a book on knitting socks. One of these days I WILL get around to knitting socks, I promise! Eventually, I will also be posting pictures of my various projects.

My friend Coley (short for Nichole) and I are in the planning stages of finding an apartment. I realized as we were talking about it one day that all I would really have is...my bed. And my car, but I'm thinking the bed is the better deal of the two. Sadly. =) Soooo, I'm going to be hunting around at various garage sales and discount places for furnishings and things. Oh, darn. Shopping. How will I cope? =)

Sometimes friends cause more pain....Melee, you'll understand what I mean.

One of my friends just left her husband and ran off with a guy she met online.

I'm so mad right now I can't even think straight. Her poor husband is blaming himself - which I'd probably do in the same situation - but he did everything in his power to keep it from happening. This is what happens when people go off of depression medication because they "don't like what it does to their body". But even that's no excuse. In fact, I think she's using depression as an excuse to do whatever she wants.

Her husband has enough emotional issues without this. But to his credit, he's been at every meeting, and he was at convention. Barely, but he was there. Of course, he's not dealing with this well at all. Who would? Poor guy. If I ever see her again, the first thing I will do is punch her. She made this choice all on her own, and she will be paying the consequences, in one way or another. What is she thinking? She is so naive, she has no idea of the trouble she's getting herself into. Why do people DO dumb stuff like that?

I'm so exhausted. Completely drained. Her poor family. I just want to sleep all day...

Excitement! Awe! Hyperactiveness!

Wahoo! Rochester, here we come. I don't think they're ready for us, though. For the district convention this year, I'm staying with my buds Nichole, Megan, and Lana! Megan's bringing Pictionary, I'm bringing a bunch of playing cards and my laptop. Don't expect any posts from me, though. I'm sure I won't have time!

Speaking of posts, I've been ready to shoot my internet connection. I'm still on (gasp!) dial-up. Kill me now. The remote servers are apparently having issues and not...serving. Or something. Argh. If anyone wants to get me something, DSL would be great! Anything would be better than what I've got now. So, if anyone out there's wondering what the deal is with my absence, well, there 'ya have it.
